How to Vote in Northeast Ohio in 2024
Who Can Vote?
To vote in Ohio, you must be 18 years old on or before Election Day, a U.S. citizen and legal resident of Ohio for at least 30 days before the election. You can register to vote online, by mail, or in person at your local Board of Elections office.
When is Election Day?
Election Day in Ohio is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Early voting begins on October 10, 2024.
Where Can I Vote?
You can vote at your assigned polling place on Election Day. To find your polling place, visit the Ohio Secretary of State's website.
What Do I Need to Bring to Vote?
You will need to bring a valid ID to vote in Ohio. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver's license, state ID card, or military ID. You can also bring a utility bill, bank statement, or paycheck as proof of residency.
How Do I Vote?
When you arrive at your polling place, you will check in with a poll worker. You will then be given a ballot. You can vote for candidates by filling in the oval next to their name. You can also vote on issues by filling in the oval next to "Yes" or "No."
What if I Make a Mistake on My Ballot?
If you make a mistake on your ballot, you can ask a poll worker for a new one. You can also vote provisionally. A provisional ballot will be counted if you are eligible to vote.
